POSITION: Student Advocate/Behavioral Specialist

REQUIREMENTS:
• BA Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • Previous experience working with At-Risk youth
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse cultural, racial, and socioeconomic student population.
  • Evidence of strong relationship skills
  • Ability to coordinate learning efforts between professional staff, At-Risk students and parents
THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE A COMMITMENT TO:
• Providing direct services to At-Risk students
  • Working closely and collaboratively with students, families, and school staff
  • Maintaining confidentiality
  • Providing support in monitoring student social emotional, behavior and academic progress
  • Effectively provide open communication between families, Counseling Department, teaching staff, and
building administration
  • Assisting in planning, monitoring and coordinating Academic Success Plans for identified At-Risk
students
  • Knowledge/use of technology related to job requirements
  • Coordinate homework/activities for students assigned to the In-School Suspension program
